We have had increasing issues with periodic slow internet and drops. We are in a rural area and have DSL from the only available ISP. In the past year, we have replaced the ISP provided Comtrend Dual band modem/router twice with only itemporary, marginal improvement. I recently purchased a new computer (ACER Spin 5) and the situation has become intolerable. Our supposedly 15 Mbps internet service drops to half with the slightest use and when the Acer is on, drops to an intolerable 2 Mbps or less, and it becomes impossible to do anything on the internet. Our ISP says it must be something in the house since a hardwired computer will maintain 11-13 Mbps as long as no other device is on. They even suggested that the issue must be caused by the ACER although I pointed out the ACER has been in use only three weeks. Let me add that this network is a home network that supports a small business. There are only three people in the house, and most of the time there is only one here using the internet and the drops still happen. What could be causing this? Any idea? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/problems-with-slow-stalled-and-dropped-internet/Business Motion Graphics Video
